These terms cover pawa, the Discord voice-channel recording bot and its paid subscription, and Pawa Companion, its iOS app. Using either means you accept them.
The bot is free, and it has one paid plan — see Subscription below. Pawa Companion is free.
The free bot and Pawa Companion come with no warranty of any kind. We do not promise they will work, keep working, or stay available.
The paid plan changes one thing: how long we keep the recordings we store for a subscribed server. To the extent the law allows, it comes with no other promise.
You are responsible for having the right to record, save, and keep the audio you put through pawa. Recording a voice conversation has consent rules that differ from place to place, and sometimes from person to person in the same call. Know the rules that apply to you — we cannot tell you what they are, and nothing here is legal advice.
Using pawa does not change anything you owe Discord under their terms.
What you get. Pawa Starter is a paid plan for one Discord server. While the server is subscribed, we keep the recordings we store for it for 30 days instead of 1 day (24 hours). The 30 days start when the recording is made, not when you buy. Recordings of that server that we still have when you subscribe get the 30 days too, usually within an hour.
What you do not get. Nothing else changes. A recording the bot uploads to Discord stays under Discord's rules, not ours.
Who can buy. You buy on the web, at app.pawa.im/v1/billing, signed in with Discord. Nothing is sold in Pawa Companion. You must own the server, or have the Manage Server or Administrator permission in it, and the bot must be in the server. One subscription covers one server. A Discord account can have one subscription, and a server can have one subscription.
You must be at least 13. If you are not yet an adult where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to the purchase.
Moving it. You cannot move a subscription to a different server yourself. Ask in the pawa Discord server and we can move it for you.
Price and renewal. The price is the one the billing page shows when you buy. As of 1 October 2026 that is USD 5.00 a month. Tax is not included, and any tax that applies is added. The subscription renews every month, automatically, and you are charged each time, until you cancel.
Price changes. The price can change. A new price applies from your next renewal, not to a period you already paid for.
Cancelling. On the billing page, "Manage subscription" opens the customer portal. You can cancel there, or change your payment method. After you cancel, the subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and you are not charged again.
If the bot leaves. The subscription continues, and so do the charges, if the bot is no longer in the server or the server no longer exists. You have to cancel.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, the subscription stays active for a grace period while the payment provider tries again. If the payment does not succeed, the subscription ends.
When it ends. New recordings of that server are kept for 1 day. A recording that got its 30 days while the server was subscribed keeps them.
Refunds. Payments are generally not refunded. If you cancel, the subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Nothing here takes away a right the law where you live gives you. If we do refund a payment, the subscription can end immediately. Recordings made while it was paid keep their 30 days.
Who takes the payment. RevenueCat sells the subscription through RevenueCat Web Billing, and Stripe processes the card. We do not see or store your card details. The payment form asks for an email address, which RevenueCat uses for receipts and for the customer portal. See the privacy policy.
Recordings we store are deleted after 1 day (24 hours), or after 30 days for a server with a subscription, and their links stop working at the same time. Once that happens the audio is gone and we cannot bring it back. We are not liable for recordings you lose, whether a link expired, a download failed, or a saved file went missing.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of pawa, its subscription, or Pawa Companion. Where the law does not allow that for the subscription, the most we owe you is what you paid for it in the 12 months before the problem.
Apple's standard EULA applies to the App Store copy of Pawa Companion. Apple is not a party to these terms, has no obligation to provide support for the app, and is not responsible for it. Support comes from us — see support.
